So here it is, the final work. It’s come a long way and is finally set up in the royal Cornwall museum! The museum have been really helpful and supportive the whole way through the process and the lighting and how they’ve set everyone’s work out looks amazing.
So the Royal Cornwall Museum project has drawn to a close, I dropped off my work there on Tuesday.
This is the work as I had finished it but after the museums feedback I reglazed everything so that the writing would be easier to read. I was trying to work out what I wanted the viewers of the work to get out of it and after talking to the museum decided that the important part was the writing itself.
So this is the first porcelain pieces, the writing came out well but I don’t think I made the handle sharp enough.
Probably the least fun part but I’ve done four now so only six to go :’)
I’m starting to really visualise the end work of this project, I’ve made a set of maquettes here that are heading in the right direction I think.
